Overview: The Account Manager (Hybrid) will be responsible for successfully managing and annually renewing a book of existing client business, while having the opportunity for new business relationships or cross-sell opportunities for the agency. This position will work with the WD & Associates team to help clients and their employees manage the ever-changing environment of employee benefits, compliance, HR, and more.

Account Managers must possess excellent organizational skills to coordinate the internal flow of work around renewals and new business relationships and must demonstrate high attention to detail when reviewing client documents for conformity and accuracy.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides exceptional customer service to each client, acting as a professional consultant and resource to meet their needs. Continually nurtures relationships and provides a consistent presence that should ultimately result in a constant awareness to any organizational changes that may result in the need for benefit plan adjustments.
  • Works in a collaborative partnership with sales (Producers) to obtain the best possible products and services available to meet each client's needs and objectives.
  • Reviews client documents, contracts, proposals, booklets, etc. for conformity and accuracy.
  • Coordinates and expedites the internal flow of work around benefit renewal and new business.
  • Manages renewals alongside the Benefit Consultant and insurance carriers. Including quotes, renewal analysis, preparing spreadsheets, contribution modeling, benchmarking, recommendations, and communication materials to present to both employer and employees.
  • Addresses client inquiries/situations via a personal consultative approach and demonstrates appropriate awareness to involve additional internal team members to ensure appropriate and timely resolution, as needed.
  • Manages RFP process for all product lines. This includes managing the financial analysis to present to the client.
  • Utilizes internal CRM, tools and applications appropriately to manage the client relationship.
  • Processes carrier changes and new business submissions during open enrollment.
  • Actively participates in training programs to enhance benefit industry knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Entry level candidates will be considered
  • Must be an independent worker who demonstrates a high level of initiative.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage your day accordingly.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • Current Life, Accident, & Health license preferred OR the ability to obtain Life & Health license within 30 days of hire.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong computer skills, ability to use multi-line phone system, copiers, scanners, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks/projects.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
